Looks like it costs $129. Not bad really. I want one. Right now I use 7' all graphite Ugly Stik Carbon Inshore series rods with fast actions. I have 3 different actions, and 2 have 10 lb braid, the other has 15. But I feel like a longer rod would be better. The Ugly Stiks are pretty sensitive, and they are way better than the composit cheaper ones. I cast farther than anyone else on the piers with similar tackle. About 95% of the time I throw jigs for flounder, redfish, trout and hopefully stripers in the Chesapeake Bay so a rod made for casting and using jigs makes sense. That doesn't look like a good kayak rod but from the beach and short pier it should be great.

Nice recipe - going fishing tomorrow morning so will try it! Ordered the blades to try those too - I’ve been using inline freshwater spinners (3/8 oz double blade panther martins with the treble hook replaced) for a couple years now for fluke with success. You fish them differently than 1/4oz jig/gulp. With the gulp, these blades combine best of both worlds so excited to try! Do you get a more bluefish bycatch? Sometimes that is an issue with the spinner as the summer moves along

Catch and Cooks are the best!! I caught a nice 22 incher last week and treated it the same way and fried it 3 days later and it was amazing. Of course I caught on 1/4 ounce jighead and 6 inch jerkshad!

Truth be told I would bet my bottom dollar get a few bought the cheapest rod and reel that you could buy you would still catch the same amount of fish. Your technique is excellent. You understand where strike zone is and even with a cheap reel, you would find it so I really don’t think you need very very expensive rod to catch fish. Once you understand what you have taught everybody you are an excellent fisherman.

Great video as always! I am curious as to your thoughts about Bogas...I used to have one and weighed a few stripers and ended up losing it. I read many articles about the higher fish mortality rate and wonder what your experiences have been...fish swim off slower? Personally I think it's for fish you intend to kill and eat. I would really like to see people stop using them

Hey, hi there greetings , you have been my teacher in the introduction of how to catch my favorite fish ( porgies), the finesse method with artificial lures using the spinning reel method , so now im searching for one spinning rod , 1pc model , shimano rod anything from poison adrenas to exprides , zodiac model etc , that you would suggest for the porgie finesse fishing method that i consider you a pro in , lure weights up to 3/4 oz at most possibly 6"3 or a bit more of length, fast or extra fast , that porgies wont shake off ,i also have small hands and handle the reel seat between the middle & ring finger, with the backbone and sensitivity , wen will you have more finesse porgie fishing videos ? thanks & blessings.
